G.E. Schulze's 1792 work, Aenesidemus, or On the Foundations of the Elementary Philosophy Issued by Professor Reinhold in Jena, Along with a Defence of Scepticism Against the Pretensions of the Critique of Reason, had a significant influence upon the reception of Kant's critical philosophy in Germany in the 1790s, and on the development of German Idealism. Despite its historical importance, no complete translation of the work into English currently exists. On this page I will upload drafts of parts of the text as I translate them, with the hope of translating the entire work. These translations are works in progress and I welcome criticisms or notes.
